Livin' The Vida Life

I'm sure you readers have watched Narnia before. First movie was extraordinary! All the action, the fantasy. But what i experience for Narnia's sequel and the 3rd movie...that it was getting rather boring. Maybe the movie is not fully my type, maybe it's because i never read the books. I don't know, maybe it's one of those reasons.

I recently watched the 3rd Narnia movie, through out the whole movie it reminds me of The Lion King, because of Aslan i guess. *sigh* Lion King, LOVE THAT  MOVIE!

Yes Star Trek, you might think this blog have been hacked by some Trekkie. But no. Yes it's me, Yasmin here and yes this blog is dedicated to Star Trek. The one i'm starting to develop an interest to.


Some people labeled people who watch or a fan of Star Trek a "geek", but no readers. We have a term for people who watch or a fan of the Enterprise. It's called "TREKKIE"


Though Star Trek enthusiasts preferred Trekker, other preferred Trekkie. The original Spock, Leonard Nimoy once attempt to set things right with the different terms and that the correct term was Trekker. 


A documentary i watched on TV about the terms Trekkie and Trekker, what do they mean for the fans. Some stated that Trekker are the ones "walking with us", while Trekkies are the ones that simply sits and watch Star Trek.


Gene Roddenberry (R.I.P) the creator of the Star Trek went to a convention and used the term "Trekkies", a fan then stood up from the crowd and shouted to correct him that it was " Trekker". Gene replied "No, it's Trekkies. I should know - i invented the thing" Well, that's so true, he is the creator of Star Trek and who was that fan that stood up had to go against him, the fan is just a fan not Gene. Oh well..in that case i would rather choose the term Trekkie.





I've been planning to get the episode series and watch it during my free time. Problem is, i can't find the full series. I don't want to download it from the internet, it'll just cause problems with the computer so it's a no fun. I want to watch it so bad! Maybe i can learn to speak Klingon....


I knew the new Spock seems so familiar and..ehem..cute =P And then i Googled...and that's him in real life with the Vulcan greeting!!

I can't do the Vulcan hand sign..YET! i want to do it so bad! It's like everyone i know can do it and i CAN'T!!! i taped my finger over night and i still can't get it =(

 I promised myself that if i can make it with the Vulcan hand sign i would watch Star Trek and become a Trekkie. Trekkie wouldn't be complete without the Vulcan hand sign!! (still taping my fingers together HAHA)

Oh and look what i found that is simply illogical for Spock to do.....or maybe not


And thought you might want to know, some celebs and few famous people that is a Trekkie. And few in the list are:
Megan Fox. Daniel Craig. Whoopi Goldberg. Angelina Jolie. Tom Hanks. Eddie Murphy. Ben Stiller. Robin Williams. Frank Sinatra. Brad Paisley. Pharrell Williams. Al Gore. Barack Obama. Ronald Regan. Arnold Schwarzenegger ("i'll be back"). Stephen Hawking. Dwayne Johnson (The Rock). Sir Richard Branson ( founder of the Virgin brand). and more.

There! The trailer. I know it's longer than any other trailer...well, that's because it's a 3 hours duration for that movie...but seriously. I highly recommend anyone to watch this, at least try!

Overall, i'm giving this a 5/5 stars! Full and i'm not being bias. Storyline was good, a hint of common sense into it rather than just full friction. Effects, yet again GREAT! what else you want me to express how good this movie was?

Seriously, i'm rating this a 5 stars for a documentary movie. NOT because i'm a fan of MJ, it's because this documentary brings back memories to when i first listens to his music, i still remember the first song i heard for Michael Jackson was Billie Jean and next was Smooth Criminal.

And so i might say, it's highly recommended to watch even those who are not fans, just watch it, MJ was really soft and quiet in the documentary, his dance moves were incredible so as his voice.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh~!!!!!!!!!!! Finally! A movie to watch! I'm happy! =) After 2 months of NOT watching a movie at the Mall Cineplex, i finally got to watch something, worth watching.

The title should have say all, the movie was;

Simple isn't it? Yes, that's the title of the movie. I know from the sound of the title, the movie sound a little lame. But mann, that was wrong! It was great! It's like Bleach and Naruto combined in a modern world! Bleach is coz the way they trained and fight with swords and the Naruto part is when they did some kind of tradition. It was real cool. But as usual there's always a "gaijin" in a movie like this. "Gaijin" means outsider. An outsider for Japan movie is always american, so yeah an american guy was the hero. Here's the really short summary of the movie.




"A westerner named Casey, studying Ninjutsu in Japan, is asked by the Sensei to return to New York to protect the legendary Yoroi Bitsu, an armored chest that contains the weapons of the last Koga Ninja." -internet

Anyway i recommend you guys to watch it, i know some of you guys out there would say "Ninja?!? Nawww i don't wanna watch that" then F.I.N.E, you're missing everything anyway. HAH! But warning the movie is blood-shed, brutal, super sharp swords, but such nice nice weapons!!

The cast pick was even fun! There were mostly Japanese and Russian people! I love foreign people, especially Japanese! I wanna go to Japan again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall i would rate the movie a 4 star! but the ending was so predictable so i give the ending, JUST THE ENDING a 3 star.

Oh....It's a documentary.. =.="



Hey peeps~ i think this is going to be short, coz i feel abit sneezy.

So as you always know that today is Sunday and as usual again shopping and movie. We (family) watched District 9. You know it's not what you think it is. To me, the trailer is a rip off.... ok i give you how the trailer looks like-------------->>>>>>>







So as you see, the trailer seems promising rite... it look like a very good sci-fi movie right?? I kinda looks cool and look like a fusion of The Transformer rite?? Well, it's not like it. In the trailer they made it like an action sci-fi movie..... but seriously, when i watched it...it was some sort of documentary on aliens staying on earth and some sort of company is keeping them in a place called District 9, hence the name of the movie, but there's a riot created by the human rights people o that company has to move the "aliens " to a different "district" namely, Dictrict 10......but the company has to kindly evict the aliens.



And so they sent a geek there to do the quite dangerous job. And yet to come, you'll have to watch it...coz' i don't wanna ruin the movie for those who doesn't believe me that this movies is boring. Tho in the earlier part of the movie it was quite funny in a sense quite ok and interesting but toward the end...uhh nevermind...kinda ironic


Anyway i might as well give this a 3 to be fair, i like the characters and the sci-fi but i really don't like the fact that it was created like a documentary... i can watch documentary at home on Discovery channel which has more interesting subjects than aliens.


So i guess thats about it. i'm not feeling too good now. so that's how short it's going to be.

Hey~ peeps..i know i didn't update for the past few days...it's just that...i get tired everytime i'm home...and there was nothing much to blog about, things were the same, nothing special......well except today. Mann you had to be there~


You know it's a Sunday today, and usually when it's a Sunday, the family will go out and watch the latest movies in the cinema. Yeah~ we're movie freaks...just LOVE movies!!! Anyway we planned to watch G.I Joe.....yes we did watched it. I'm talking about what happened before...



We (the family) actually booked the tickets for the movie at around 2pm, just after i woke up from my 1-hour sleep but the movie starts at 5.30pm, sooo there wasn't any rush around... we waited, my Daddy went to org kahwin, we waited......and waited......until it was 4pm, daddy was back and he played the computer for awhile...i know we supposed to get the tickets 30 minutes earlier before the movie starts and it's 20 minute drive form my house to the Mall at a 100 km/h speed and without traffic jams...guess what??? We left at 5pm!! yeah so what we rushed..Daddy drives fast and carefull...seriously!


Yeeeaaahhh~~ we reached there way past the time to get the tickets...but my mom know how to negosiate (i know that spelling is so wrong...just understand me...hence i don't like spelling) so we kinda got the tickets.



But there we sounds!! Loud ones too! Sound of drums, guitars, saxaphone, keyboard and singing!!! What was it??? There was a concert at the Mall!! Guess who played it?? It's the America Navys!!! Why are they here?? Well did you hear about the BridEX?? It a military thing, where all the military stuffs like tanks, guns, armour, all there. It will be held from 12 August-15 August and i think it's around Jerudong..there was not much detail on the paper today.




Anyway I think the people who are bringing these things are the Navys coz you can't carry tanks on airplanes, they're just to damn heavy so they went "Wet-Style" ahahaha that's when the Navys come and there are a lot of crews on board and staying in Brunei until the BridEx ends..so don't be curious when you see Americans or other foreigners in town or at the Mall or near Hotels, thus the reason behind the "full house" (fully booked) on almost every hotels in bandar!





Anyway They were there, singing, playing the instruments and everyone in the Mall was gathering along every floor just to see them perform.. You see, Brunei should do this more...alot more, people was in Awed~we love these kind if things, you know open band.




So, after awhile we have to go and watch the movie we planned to watch. G.I. Joe is a GREAT movie, tho it's a bit futuristic...it's a still fusion of the present and the not too distance future kind of movie, Starring Channing Tatum (sp??) a real goo movie i must say very advisable to watch and those who are not interested in those kind of thing just try and watch it, there a bit of comedy in it and suspence and adrenaline. Just cover your ears in certain parts of the movie (a real ear-saver)



So the movie...i'm gonna give it a 5-er!!! Yay!! For the director and the producers of G.I Joe!! you reache the level on entertainment & the goes to you too U.S Navys!!! Thanks for coming to Brunei and willing to held a mini concert at the Mall!

This movie hit the BlockBusters in 1998 and won a whole lot of awards. Mann~ i watch this and i was just 4!! i cried when he died!! I said "Wheeeee!!! Slide" when the passengers were sliding of the ship and i cried when Leonardo died in the scene!! I really didnt know why i cried....i was so young~!! i wasn't supposed to cry about that kind of thing hahaha me with romance movie hehe

Yesterday was...yeah as the previous x2 post says "Seri's Sweet 16". In the morning was the same Wednesday except for a big pink cake. I want to have a slice of it but i have to go to get ready for the afternoon. Now let this story begin~

Just before leaving the house, after having a small lunch (damit sja, 1/2 mangkuk damit) and waiting my babah finish watching Britains Got Talent...oh yeah~ my Daa-deyh rox y'all! Anyway leaving the house all in black with a hoody and $$, si Mirza msg told me he's all alone at the mall (kahsian~)>>>>reached the mall, naik atas arah cineplex and saw Mirza all alone. I was suprise belum ada Akemaru and Iffy.


I thought i was already late...rupanya bnyak orang lagi akhir. Even the guest of honour. When we got everyone (Akemaru, Akito(me), Ahmad, Aisya, Iffy, Izwan, Mirza and of course Seri) we took the tickets and bought drinks or food with our own money. Before going in, we've met Hazwan and Faiz (ol' friends) they joined in but in a different row. The movie we watched was "Night At The Museum 2" coz majority voted for comedy and so they have it. It was really really really funny!! And its unforget-able! Just spilling one scene that we all laughed except for Mirza and the audience. The was a squrriel in the movie and we know who its related to. Hehehe we laughed so hard.



I professionally (ae-che tsk*) give it a 5 out of 5 stars for this movie. Anyway this movie is a blockbuster. I heard it beat Terminator : Salvation in the Box Office.
Ok after that it was nearly 5 and we only have 30 mins to play at the Uni Arcade. It was fun! Akemaru played DDR (hard! -.-") the "boys" played b-ball, we joined later and we got a bunch of tickets (the type where di kumpul kan and exchange it for a prize) the the boys disappeared in thick air. Only me, Akemaru and Iffy.



So Akemaru mau main the race car thingey. Siok bnr! Then it was almost time the last game was the coin dropper (the way Akito calls it) its where u put the coins in a slot and the coin will go on a platform and slided to the side by a slider. U have to wait for the slider to come. When a coin drops from the platform. Tickets will come pouring out. A whole lot of tickets for just 1 coin to drop. Kalau 2 coins lagi banyak tu.




After that praticaly semua balik udah. Hehe ku sampat lagi membeli Easi $10 hehe

In the afternoon we stayed back...makan around 1. Then did some do-it-yourself time. Then around 3:45pm. F4S1 Production installed a new video to our account. Thought by Akemaru of making an Award show and turning it to "F4S1 AWARDS!!". I was'nt in btw just became an applauser and Iffy became the winner of the awards and Neena was the one saying out the winners name. Akemaru said he's gonna edit it twmro and upload it to

Ok so today it's family time. It's very predictable coz every Sunday there's always grocerys and movie, i tell ya that's a no fail.


So judging by the title, it's Fast & Furious 4. It was a fun movie but it's mostly for boys that likes fast cars and 'ahem' hot girls~hahaha


Anyway the story's more about revenge coz Letty was murdered so Dom wanted revenge. All i can remember of the characters are Dom, O'Connel and Hans. Yeah Dom and O'Connel are friends since the 1st and the 2nd Fast & Furious. Hans u can remember him from Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift...KYAH!! I like him! He's japanese (is he??) and i like his acting.
So...there were a lot of COOL FAST HELL YEAH CARS! (emphasing on that)


The cars are mostly Nissan and muscle cars with a very strong horsepower and there only a few NOS (all those are important for more speed). There were some cool tricks to hide cars away from patrols too, that's my favourite part. The movie reminds me one of my favourite PS2 games "NEED FOR SPEED"


Anyway to understand the movie u gotta watch from the 1st and the 2nd coz the movie happens before the Tokyo Drift movie...so it's like "what happens before that" kind of movie.



I personally rate this a 4 (as in i will watch it again for sure)
